This is all about my '86 FJ1200S, bought at 11,345 ml's now at 15,087.  I have done all work on this bike. Tires, battery, valve cover gskt's, titainium plug's, Barnett clutch, throttle cables, clutch kit's in master and slave, chain and sprocket's, Oil filter adapter "Randy", (Still need the 'Wix' part # for the filter, refuse to pay 12.00$ U.S. + shipping for a 5.00$ filter) Delkovic Exh. system, 'Tri oval with stainless collector and "Lava Rock" wrap on header's. Corbin Gunfighter and Lady, with "Oval Back" backrest. The list will continue to go "On and On" as I plan to ride this bike to my grave. I love this "Club"/website, everyone has given me great advice and helped me learn alot about my 'FJ'. Havivng an 'Issue' with the charging system right now, I posted about the voltage regulator from "Randy" and how my 'Brush holder' is getting old. Hard to find a new 'Brush holder' with brushes.
What do we do to charge our batter's when the brushes wear out? Anyway, I'll put some pic's of my 'FJ on the website as soon as I get it out of the garage. Good luck to all and KOOkaloo.

Use the filter numbers listed on the installation instructions to find a part number; 51347, 51334, KN303C, etc.

Do you want me to see if I can get you a new brush holder?

Hey Randy,
Thank's for the 'reply'.
When I bought your adapter, what I got was a very well machined aluminum piece and the
'fitting' to bolt it on. No instuctions (none needed) no filter applications, nada, just an invoice. Thank's for the filter #'s. Should I put a washer (copper or aluminum) between the fitting and adapter to prevent galling ? Should I use a new o-ring on the adapter ? Anyway, back to my generator, I bought your 'voltage regulater' (and fork seal's) it came with great instructions, got the regulator out and went to disassemble it from the brush holder. Short answer is "Yes" I would love to find a "New" brush holder w/brushes. I'm sure with all the info' from you and other members of this club, I'll be rideing my FJ for many years to come.
Thank's again everyone,
JimmyD

Rich, I live in the 'Stick's, In Central Florida, my local alternator/starter shop can barely fix a 'Chevy' alternator, let alone a Yamaha bike, lol.
