How many Original Owners do we have here?

Just curious...   I bought my '91 back in Nov '91 and have loved riding it ever since.  At about ~60k on it now and still going strong.  But I also have a '00 Ducati 748 that I bought as the 3rd owner and have had a fantastic time 'resurrecting' it into a fun play toy.  I think I learned as much (if not more) doing a 'resurrection' than as an original owner.


So... how many of you have "1 owner" FJs???

Well I owwned the 2nd 86 FJ1200 sold in WI in 86. Owned it for 2 1/2 months. Before a friend of a friend laid his cb1100 down in a corner in front of me. @ some where around 135mph. Totalled it. Now I am resurrecting an 86 that I just got from my friend for $600 He bought it in 86 after he rode mine. It only has 10,452 miles on it. But it's been in storage for 10 years. So I'm kinda an original owner.

Original (and current) owner of an '85.  $4800 out the door. 

I was smart enough to wait for them to work out the bugs from the first year model and perfect the awesome red and white paint scheme.  :-)

It has about 40K on it.

I acquired a slightly used '93 in 2000.  Only 6500 miles on it when I bought it and I'm the 4th owner.  Pushing 30K on it now.

Hey Austin,
I noticed that your ride map does not have Arkansas colored in.  You need to check it out sometime.  Really great roads up there and not that far away.

I'm headed that way in June.

Didn't go out of my way to miss it. Was more of a 'cross-country' mission at the time (CA to VA, then back).  I'm sure the roads there are wonderful.  Been to Tennessee for work (no motorcycle) and found that to be gorgeous as well.   the biggest issue I have is my wife is from Australia and I need to take  few months to ride around there as well!   Beautiful country!!

I bought my 87 new 3/1987. Plenty of left over 86's but I liked the 87 paint scheme as well as the red, machined edge wheels better. Just purchased a mint 2000 RC-51 with 3,000 miles. Gas tank has been signed by Freddie Spencer, Nicky Hayden and Migual Duhamel. Just got to get it shipped up from Georgia.
