Hi everyone newbie to forum and FJ's but not bikes.
Currently in Michigan but in the process of moving to Alabama.
Just traded my snowmobile for an 89 FJ1200. I always liked the looks of the FJ and have owned several sportbikes - Nothing this big though.
Current FJ has a ton of miles but is is pretty good shape and seems to be running good. The previous owner kept pretty meticulous notes on everything done to the bike.
Liking what I see here and looking forward to learning about these monsters.

Welcome to the 'virtual campfire'.

Not sure what you mean by a 'ton of miles' but there are FJ's out there with 100K + and at least one that I know of, with 200K + miles.  So, relatively speaking, yours may well be a 'baby'.

Lot's of good folks, and good information here.

Live hardy, or go home.

Ton = 143K,  1owner and I can tell you based on the notes how many - sets of tires, headlamps, oil changes etc. were done.

Welcome to the group!

that is a few miles for sure but the FJ can handle it.... as long as the bodywork/running gear is in good condition there is nothing wrong with the miles.

The bike was ridden.... and thats what they were meant to do  :good2:

Hello and welcome.
I'd like to see a picture of you bike with those kind of miles.
I may be surprised.
