Hi All,
Ive been reading the mod section and found loads of stuff to do.
but one thing seems to have different options, and that's the clutch!
i have an old issue with my left wrist and riding around town in traffic using the clutch, it gets painful as the clutch is so heavy.
i think (but don't know) that a previous owner of my bike may have doubled up on the clutch spring.
just wondering whats the best way to go about sorting it..
should i go the fjr master first (or any other?)
barnett clutch conversion new plates etc or what?
or will i do it all and it still won't be light
Anyone done this and got a light clutch?  thanks all and sorry if this is an old old chestnut :pardon:

A light clutch?  Hrm.

First, the usual.  Make sure the master cylinder you're using is original (it'll have 5/8" cast into it in a hard-to-see place, if memory serves), and pop the clutch cover off (move the brake pedal if you want more room, and have a spare gasket handy).  You've seen the thread with the guts of the clutch on display, so you'll know what two springs will look like in there.

If it's not slipping and there's a single spring, you're pretty well golden.  Swap to a smaller bore master (14mm) and that'll be about as good as it gets.

Usually the problem with clutches is that they slip once the motor starts singing, so this is a bit of newish territory.
