I just picked up my 89 Fj 1200. It needed some minor tlc. I replaced the brakes, brake lines, filters, rotors added some L.E.D lights, a volt gauge, wheel bearings and a good cleaning.I have to say I'm very impressed with this bike. It might have a few years on it but it is a blast to ride :good2:
I tried the v-twin ride for a few years but it was getting boring to ride. Before that I alway's rode big bore sport bikes, but I was young and stupid and got into some trouble! The v-twin was alright but I missed the power of a big bore sport bike. Now I'm older and have a family so I'm more responsible riding with power.
The FJ is like the hot rod of sport bikes. It still looks good and pulls real strong, but everybody already knows this.Just my .02 :good2:
