Mechanic in Greater Montreal Area

Hey all!

Recently moved to the Montreal Area and I brought my bike with me (in the moving truck right next to my fridge and mattress!!) I do have a few things to get sorted out with the ol'girl to get her back on track and running solid.  Right now, she isn't starting, but it still is a little cold out,  and she doesn't like the cold... I'm planning on pulling the carbs and getting everything cleaned during the next week,  that should help.   However,  she needs some 2nd gear love and a few gaskets all around.  I'm wondering if anybody on here knows of a good mechanic or garage in the Greater Montreal Area that I could bring her to (apart from a stealership).

I usually work on my stuff,  but opening up the transmission seems a little hardcore for my general motorcycle knowledge.  Furthermore, I have no garage (not even a driveway!!)

If anybody knows of someone,  that would be great!
Thanks!

Peter

Dont be intimidated about fixing second gear..... you dont even have to mess with the timing or anything to do this job.

the absolute hardest part of the whole entire job is putting the engine back in the frame.

With a support group like we have here there should be no job too big for someone with a desire to Kookaloo! and keep a huge wad of money in their pocket! :good2:

KOokaloo!

Thanks Racerman,

I am generally not too scared about tinkering in mechanical stuff.  I've replaced numerous head gaskets and played around in cars a lot.  Opening up the tranny on the bike,  just seems to scare me a little....

I did read the write-up about fixing the second gear woes.   Seems definately doable :)

I'll start by taking the carbs out and getting her to work.  Spring is here and I wanna ride!
