I know it would have been easier to have put the relays some :cray: where in the fairing

I kind of had the same thought. But I put my panel in the fairing.

And I put the relays where the  CA emissions junk went...

Makes my power runs nice and short since they're coming off the panel instead of running all the way back to the battery.

I can't work out why the dip has dimmed. Obviously it is getting power from the relay to light it up.MaybeI never looked properly when I first did the job?

Main beam megga bright........ dip not so??????????????

Dipped beam is brighter when the original headlamp connector was clipped back on?????????

Plus, although there are only three wires going to the original H4 connector, could I fit them correctly........ nope!

Main beam on, no main beam light on the dash. dip beam on. main beam lights up on the dash.

TEDIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

You answered your question right there. You have your feeds off of your replays reversed.
Just swap your power feeds off the two relays and your main and dipped settings will light up the panel indicator correctly.

At least you didn't have the scenario I had on another bike where I had a short in the relay harness. Low was fine, but turn
on the high beams and it would fire both elements at the same time. REALLY bright, but so much heat the bulb didn't last long...

You only need two wires comming off of the original headlight connector to signal the relays. You should be running a new ground
to the third pin on the new headlight connector as well as a power lead from each relay.  So that's three high current wires going front and
two low current signal wires coming back. You can power both your relays from the same wire coming off of the battery.  (No need to run
individual feeds there)
