I wenty thru the gallery and saw several tail rack/backrest pieces on bikes, mostly on the later models.
I am looking for one for my 84 1100. Are they still made somewhere?  Or will I have to get one built?

Arnie

The Gearsack rack that you may have seen on some of the Aussie bikes is no longer being made, but you can still get Ventura rack systems.  This mounts an "L" support to the bike and gives you a choice of several size racks and upright loops.  There may be others as well.

Thanx Arnie- is that made in Australia as well or U.S.?  Ok, just googled Ventura and found it . Thanx

If you do get the Ventura system rack you can make it much stronger by using "P" clamps off the subframe instead of just attaching to the tabs on the subframe.  The tabs are pretty weak and will eventually break.

Cheers,
Arnie
