you can get a set of straight rate springs for about 100.00.... rear shock is going to cost you about 600.00 for a penske sport shock setup for your weight..... i promise you will love the improvement in the rear and will want to upgrade the forks to cartridge forks to match the supple yet controlled ride.

Why don't you just lose weight?
You know, diet & exercise.
Seems the obvious thing to do, no?
The money you save on food can be spent on more mods for the bike.

I'm a 350 pounder, weighed 425 when I got the bike, at 10% body fat I will be 240 pounds. bet I can lose weight faster then you can learn to have manners, class, or respect for others.

I boosted the the front end with progressive over load springs and  love it, penske shock is on the way. Being an above average person I always boost my suspension to handle my aggresive riding and driving style.

An above average person?
No,you're morbidly obese.
As far as respect for others go, you don't even have respect for yourself as evidenced by your weight.
Manners & class?
Go stuff yourself some more at the buffet, that's classy
Just what a great fat cunt weighing 350 or more pounds can bring to performance motorcycle riding is a mystery.
So fuck off fat boy, there's nothing I post on this forum that I wouldn't say to you or anyone face to face.

Come back and post pics when you are down to 240 lbs.

I'm of a mind that everyone has to steer their own boat.... as long as their boat aint rammin into mine i've got no issue.

One of the guys i ride with (Big Dan 300+ lbs easy) in his black leathers he looks like a huge silverback gorilla humping a honda 929 but when the road gets twisty its all i can do keep him in sight.... he always pulls me on rt 66 from the turnoff to the store.... one time he already had his helmet off when i got to the store! ( he did get a pass on a car that held me up a bit but i didnt even get to see him pass the car)

he has properly set up Penske shock and special built traxxion forks to carry his weight........but the lesson here is to never judge a book by its cover lest ye be prepared to get schooled!

personally i just look in the mirror when i feel like i need to criticize someone  .....   i only own one mirror so it cuts waaaaaay down on the amount of criticism both given and taken.    :good2:

there is no cheap way . suspension stuff is always expensive but well worth it.

spend the money on some front springs and emulators and you can remove the chain adj on the rear shock and manually crank it tighter 2 turns then put the chain back on.
this will stiffen the rear end but it will bounce more because the shock damping is weak.

sometimes just flushing the front forks and readjusting the settings can make it mo' better.

Hello Joe, yea, to what Mark said.....Plus, don't go for progressive rate front springs. Go with straight rate springs, better yet, wait to see what Randy comes up with for spring rates with his new fork valves.
For the rear, a stiff sprung Penske sport shock is what you want.

As a FJ forum moderator, I would like to apologize for those fucking rude comments. It is no way to treat our new members. The forum rules allow free discussion but I personally cringe when some big galoot tells me to go on a diet.
As you see, many of us have known each other for over a decade, and we have no trouble telling each other to fuck off....However rude we treat each other, that's no biggie, but to do that to a new guy is just wrong.

Think of it like sitting around a camp fire, you may think it all you want, but if it comes out of your mouth, to someone you don't know, you stand a high probability of getting your dick dumped in the dirt....
