Not Sucking On Fags

I reckon I've got the fags licked.
Been off 'em for over a month now, cold turkey.
Reason I'm posting of my success is so you blokes hold me to it.
When I'm over there in May & June, if you catch me sucking on a fag,even a sly one, call me on it and I'll buy you many beverages of your choice.

No problem, we will assume that if smoke is coming from, you are on fire and act accordingly.

I hope there are fire hydrants around the rally, hate to think what we might need to use in an emergency to keep you on the fag free path....

Good on ya mate. I hope you don't have a relapse. I have been trying to get my other half to quit for 35 years. Only problem is when she doe's try I just about have to move out of the house. So, keep up the good work. Big r

Hmmm, maybe I need a month in the hospital at near death as well to get me off that disgusting addition. Yep, it's an addition and the only addition I have not been able to kick.

So, someone shoot me and put in me in the ICU just to, paradoxically, save my life.

Life would be soooo much better if I could kick that miserable money pit of a habit.

Craig, as luck will have it, you have all you need to quit. With gas prices almost equaling a pack of cigs, you may have to choose between your FJ and tobacco...... Hell just filling up at the pump now is a near death experience....

A good friend of mine was hospitalized a while back with two aortic aneurysms, one by his lungs, and the other by his kidneys.  They had to open up his entire right side to get at them, a nine hour surgery.

After four months off them, he smokes just as many today as he did before the knife.

You can do it.  I gave up after smoking for 25 years.
You're at least as stubborn as I am, just decide you are NOT going to smoke (cigarettes) again.
After about 10 years without them, you'll start to find you no longer even want to be downwind of a smoker, and you'll also find they reek from the stale smoke.

I'm still trying to figure out where all the money I haven't spent on fags has gone.

I'm in the same boat, Klav... I'm just finishing 12 weeks fag free.
  I've tried a few times before, but time is just flying by too fast...this time.
Already, I can go a day or 2 without even remembering that I smoked for 20+ years.

My brother did the same thing after he had a cerebral hemorrhage. He was is in a coma for 10 days and in the hospital for a 2 months. Same exact place/ thing that killed our mother. He smokes again after 3 or so years.   It sucks IMO.
