My builds going very well I posted about a siezed clutch slave and even tho everyone trying to help assumed I didn't know how to bleed a line it did turn out the piston was stuck damn good but all better now. But anuyways I'm curious what's the largest rear sprocket that will fit without hitting the swing arm? I find it hard that these websites selling 60+ tooth sprockets aren't just cross referancing part numbers for bikes with same sprocket. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And I know what your thinking "why are you trying to stunt an fj" I'm not trying to. Second gears shot (surprise) and its a heavily modified streetfighter. So its half for appearances and half for gettin

I guess that Jacks up the traditional 2nd gear fix. Anyone need an FJ wheelie machine that eats chains? If you blow a tire you are gonna be riding on the chain.... I hope you find your solution.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

If you remove the chainguard and modify the backside of the cover, I don't see why you couldn't go very big indeed.

I'd be shocked if 16/49 would be lacking in steepness for you, though.

I had a 47tooth on for a short period, without any clearance problems. It came on the FZR wheel I fitted. Second gear wheelies, no worries.  Pete.

"Traditional 2ndgear fix" that's a funny one I appreciate that. But I appreciate your guys input chaingaurd already removed has been for awhile. I am hardly the first owner and Im sure id be more than content with the 16/4x set up. Like I saaid just curious of options to achieve a look to turn heads at the local weekly show 3 miles down the road. I have other bikes to ride to go for a ride and to get to work (well only one other at the moment.) But thaanks again to the non condescending responses. any more are very welcome

Welcome to the site jnimbostratus.  You'll get plenty of help on this site to all questions.  You'll be hard pressed to find a better forum.  I reread the responses you got from your first question with your slave. None were condescending as your implying, people are just trying to help you out, and they don't know what you do or do not know.  Plenty of people have had trouble with the FJ slave. If we all assume you already know everything, you won't get any answers.

well put. i applogize for coming off how ever i may have.

jnimbostratus

btw the condesending part i felt was from this topic to be honest. from the ape. i felt the other topic was only ppl trying to help without knowing my knowleg/skill level.

jnimbostratus, sorry to get off on the wrong foot here. This banter is quite normal here and is not meant, nor normally taken as personal attacks. I see that you joined the group last May, if you were browsing and reading the posts you would have read some really interesting and way more offensive posts. Please don't take my comments personal. I will be helpful when I can and be flippant when the moment strikes. It's how some of us stay sane enough to blend into society. I hope you find what you are looking for.
