That is very kind of her. Did you know that the dishwasher is great for degreasing parts? I used mine to clean both engine case halves and the cylinder head. I prewashed them with kerosene and Dawn first though.

oooooh, don't forget the oven...set it at 450* to cure the Hi temp paint. Turn the fan on...It smells like shit. Really, really pisses her off.
Even with the exhaust fan on and the windows open and evap cooler on high, it takes awhile for the smell to go away.
Man 'o man if she ever saw my bike parts in "her" dishwasher, I would be sleeping in the garage....no if's and's or but's about it.

We should get together and write a book. I bet we all have stories. That way we could learn from each other... :hang1:

Problem with a book Pat, is that my wife would read it and figure out what we're up to when she's gone.  When the Cat's away...

SweetI never thought to use the dishwasher lol.
I have had 6 or 7 sets of GP1200 cylinders in the oven to remove old and then install new cylinder sleeves.
I have also done 3 GP1200 engine rebuilds in my old apartment.(total rebuild)
I have honed  GP1200 cylinders and replaced stuck piston while at my campsite so I could ride the next day.

I've found that the kitchen is a great source of useful things that have a motorcycle application. Pots and pans to soak parts in kerosene, (the tupperware couldnt hack it) and cutlery which is perfect for modification for the bench grinder.

sure, are you in need of doxycycline for your lymes disease and cephalexin for your infected vulva?  My female GSD is all done with them.  (gsd=german shepherd dog) :blum1:
