My V&H chrome exhaust is in need of a sandblasting and ceramic coating.

What finish did you have done and.... how much does a great job cost?

Jet Hot is thinner, Swain Coating is thicker, both are good.

I have Swain's White Lightning coating on my '84's oem collector box, it is durable and it works: http://www.swaintech.com/store.asp?pid=10969

(I also have Swains TBC coating on my 82mm piston crowns and the PC-9 on the skirts)

I'm looking at it now.
$40 per foot?
I'll have to price both out and see which is the best value
thanks

Pat, does Swain do used pipes?  I looked at their site, but couldn't find it...  I did see where they normally don't do the inside full length.

I have used Swain tech many times for piston coatings but never pipes. They are very nice folks to deal with. I have had HPC and Jet Hot coat pipes for me. HPC does not exist anymore. The Jet Hot coated pipes are OK. I'd recommend doing inside and outside.

Rich, they will do only the outside of a used pipe. They say that they can't get the inside scrubbed clean enough for a proper bond.
I wanted them to do the inside of my collector box but they said no.
New pipes yes, they will coat the inside but only to a certain length.

You might be better off with the thinner Jet Hot coating if you want the inside coated.
