Was at the inlaws today and went out and started the fj, fired right up but was smoking for a minute or so and then cleared up. I am thinking valve seals and was wondering if one has to pull the head to replace them or can they be done like i used to do my small block ford. We used to stuff rope into the cyl. and then bring it to top dead and the remove the valve spring and change the seal, or do I have to remove the head? Randy, what would it cost to have you set up some new carbs to work with pod filters and V/H ss pipe? Any and all info would be appreciated. Thanks guys, Big r
