After over 5 weeks down, I got my (new to me) bike back on the road.  It's much smoother, less vibration, handles & stops better, just a much nicer ride.
Things done;
steering head bearings (were slightly notched)
fork seals, oil (10wt 5.5"), Race Tech 1.0 springs (I think the oil was original!)
new front Metzeler Lasertec tire (one that came with the bike was 15 years old!)
Goodridge braided steel front brake lines
Fiamm hi & lo disc horns w/relay (mounted where stock horn was)
Gen Mar bar risers
new hand grips
Throttlemeister throttle lock (heavy model)
Vance & Hines Supersport 4-1 (a bit loud, even for me)
removed emissions plumbing & devices
re-jetted & synced the carbs
cleaned & greased the front engine mount sleeves
adjusted the rear engine mount bumper

I'd previously adjusted the valves and cleaned & synced the carbs.  The PO just changed the oil & clutch fluid, and the rear tire is ok, so I think I'm good for a while :good:!
