Thinking about putting together a southern Ontario ride/fest and was trying to find a way of notifying all of the members that live in that area with PM . Is that possible or should I just post in the RIDES section?

Stupid question, how do I attach a emoticon (smiles) to my posts? Every time I try all I get are the letters or code?

Okay, here's a real suggestion, what if we had a test section that allowed us old farts to try some stuff out,
without making a fools of ourselves infront of the big crowd?
Thanks,
Chris

Marsh, maybe we could get the "Preview" to do something like Grannyknot is asking?

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Is ok.  You can also make a random post to test something, and then edit it shortly thereafter to something polite and sensible :)

Or do what I did, and make a test thread (or reply to that one, I was just playing to see which link formats worked)

Personally I won't go to Dover anymore, there are some great bikes for sure but the crowds and the assholes and the cops pulling us over as fast as they can. Not to mention the Harley chicks... gruesome. No thanks.
But I'm going to try my best to get to the NEFJ rally in Penn.this year

You know it's in ME, not PA, right?

I agree with you Grannyknot...I've lived here for 20+ years, and every Friday the 13th I've avoided like the plague!  Too much of everything you described!  It was a great concept, grew into a cash cow for the county, and then was ruined by the rule makers to the point were the original committee disbanded and left it all at the town council's feet.  It'll go downhill from there.

When I bought the FJ and thought maybe it would be nice to have a real bike make an appearance.  I would like to see more FJ's gather there for I know they are around and do make appearances, but agree that it is probably not the right venue for an all out FJ rally.  Thanks for taking the initiative for Ontario... :hi:

I would really like a 'watch' option to monitor a thread. Most of the time I check 'Replies' and then 'Unread'. 'Watched' would be like 'Replies' for threads that you have not replied to. Kind of like this one. But now I've replied to it, so it's moot. Hmmm.

Yes on the Ontario ride.

In 2000 we did the third (and final) annual Niagara ride.

In 2004 a few ex-Booners met up at Calabogie.

It's been a while.
