We are having unseasonably warm temps in northern Iowa this year, so I celebrated Christmas this year with a ride on the FJ.
It was close to 40 degrees, and with the gear I had on, I stayed plent warm for the 20 minutes I was out.
I can't remember the last time I was able to do this in Iowa.

You lucky dog I wish I could go for toot. It's 30 degrees here and there is to much ice and stuff on the road. Have a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :yahoo: :drinks:

That is the last of the snow we go back on the 3rd of Dec.
Been melting ever since.
Randy, what do you think of my 17 inch rear wheel?
My kid says it really looks like a fat tire compared to the stock one.
I can't wait to try it out on the mountain roads next year!

One of the best mods you can make to the later model FJs, IMO.   :good:

You've definitely got it all polished and painted to match your bike, instead of running around with a purple or pink wheel...    :bomb:

After getting the FJ out for the ride, my oldest son decided it was something he wanted to try, after all, he had just gotten a new AVG helmet and a rear pillion cover for his Repsol for Christmas.
His first reports of the new helmet were very favorable.

I bet you never LIVED in snow country.  Just seeing it in pics - its so pretty. Or playing in it on holiday, it is just super keen.  Try having to get up 1/2 hr early each day just in case you have to dig your way out to the road.
I believe you have  a minor precipitation problem up there in Qld. right now.  Imagine if the same amount of H20 had fallen as snow - It'd be 10 times deeper than the rainfall.

So glad it doesn't snow here.  Go to Tassie or NZ if you want snow.

The cold weather is bad enough, but snow just sucks.  Period.

So true Randy.
During this time of year, I described it to my wife the other day, as a feeling of being held down against my will.
I hate the cold and snow.
I need to move south...plain and simple!

Move out here to SoCal, I am going for a ride today, we could use a few more FJs. Every ride would be a mini-rally.  :empathy3:
