Thanks Racerman tried to keep it as simple as possible and not add too much weight, so cruises nicely up to 110 on test (whoops mean 70 if your looking from UK). Reverse is leg powered i`m afraid but reasonably easy, and look before hand to try position where no reverse needed. :yahoo:

Hi Doug, found forks on ebay in uk. Apparently came off Goldwing sidecar, and have recently changed shocks for some new ones I already had as ones that came with forks had seized  adjusters.  friend who`s a whizz at engineering knocked up new top brackets as mounting were different. :wacko3:

Hi there.
My first suggestion is get a good battery, the higher the CCA number the better.I have been running a H.I.D headlight (uses less power, 35w,and has much better light output)without any trouble for about a year now, although some members have posted quality/reliability issues.I also run a pair of little 55w spots via a relay off the high beam circuit, mounted on small brackets of the oil cooler.Have you done the headlight relay mod yet?

or Harvey did it this way....

http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=67Hi Jeff, thanks for the info. Currently have put no relays in at all. Your suggestion of bigger battery reminded me that (And i`m now going to show my age) in the 60`s (yeah that old) I had a Triumph Thunderbird to wich I added a double adult sidecar for a growing family, and fitted a small car battery in the boot and that worked fine, without other alterations for quite a few years.
Ride safe :diablo:
