Not what I was hoping for when I saw the title:(...kidding aside those are some really nice looking carbs, reminds me of a set I saw on a BMWS100RR, only prettier

Thanks for the pic Andy (and a good laugh)

I assume you meant S1000RR. If so, you have seen the only carburated S1000RR in captivity. You must have had to strip a lot of the body work off to catch a glimpse of this rare sight.
What do you mean, you don't have a lathe?

Andy, what's so special about those CV carbs?  Are they larger that our 36mm? maybe 38mm? That would be nice for a 1350cc street bike (hint)

I have these 38mm TMR's on my Xmas list. The wife looked at the price and laughed at me so, I enlarged the picture and now have a poster in my garage.
I must be getting old....Instead of a buxom babe, I have these hanging in my garage.....They sure are purdy

Here are the ACTUAL carbs off of my 89.  I sent them to Randy at RPM for cleaning and this is how they returned:

They were so pretty I had to take a couple of pics before I put them back on the bike.

That's nice if you're going to take her on holiday to Paris, but it doesn't impact on the Yen to $ conversion much. :-/

BTW the Yen isn't doing all that well either.  Mikuni is made in Japan

It was in a review of the S1000RR. in the review they had showed a computer image of the internals of the bike like how the engine was moiunted in (like a blue print). They were like a lego kind of colour. So maybe the pc gnerated it that colour. Then again I havent seen many a carbs and with the technology in the beemer I could easily have mistaken carbs for some other fancy thing. Basically the coulour was a yellow, red and blue in the shape of 4 carbs

I dunno, I liked the wrinkle finish on the bowl and top, and adore the choke bits being a contrasting color.

If we're looking for sexy in terms of performance, I'd be posting a picture of Lectrons, and nothing else!

They were throttlebodies.  Look pretty similar from a distance though, and do the same function as a carb.
