Well, the market segment I come from thinks it's a bunch of crap.  That guy must be in charge of US marketing for Yamaha.  They (and all the other m/c companies) are typically clueless on what the "real" motorcycle community wants. 

Yeah, give us some more Goldwings and V-twins.  That's all we're really interested in here in the US.
