Hey Rod,

Best wishes and good luck with your op.

Stay strong,

Arnie

The old helmet will l seem a little loose when you slip it on next. But will still feel like Kookaloo when you gear up and take her for a ride when you are ready.... I spent a few years off of my 86' after my low side and leaving her in the garage for some years. The joy of getting her fired up after my wife refused to let me sell her was pure joy. I hope you find the same joy.....

The "solution" to that problem is to just cut the hair on both sides :-)
At least you'll be balanced (if any biker is balanced).
The quicker they fix you, the sooner you'll be back in the saddle.

Rod,
Happy, healing thoughts going out your way. At least you have a reason to ***GET BETTER*** after the surgery. Motorcycling is really good therapy.

One of my good friends is battling a series of brain lesions from a bad car accident in Croatia back in  the early `90's (As I understand it, he was a passenger in a vehicle that went down a mountainside and crashed THROUGH a government official's house!). I've seen firsthand some of the obstacles he's had to overcome as we were roommates for about a year. His situation is inoperable, and one area is eroding his optic nerve, so he has lost about 80% of his vision in both eyes.

Chin up, Bud!

Hang in there and I know we'll hear good news after Monday. Thoughts and prayers will be with you throughout the ordeal. The other posts are correct; they have come so far on these types of issues (although not far enough, we've still got 'em) in the last few years. A girl I work with had very similar issues/surgery less than 2 years ago; she's back at work and doing great.
