So this morning I had to push the FJ again.

My calculations and my fuel guage were a little off and I ran out of petrol. Becuase the nearest gas station was a good way away I decided to try and run the FJ completely dry. I didnt think any damage would come of it until I saw a little bit of white smoke come from the engine...

Luckily the gas station wasnt too far and mostly downhill as opposed to the uphills I had had.

Put some petrol in her and she fired up right away right as day(well as right as can be in her condition anyway.)

When you fill up, you always reset your odometer to zero, correct? So how many miles did you get on that tank? This is good info to know and remember.

I actually never reset it to be honest.. although. thats a good idea, I normally go by number of days as my daily routines hardly ever change. I also never actually top up with fuel unless I do long rides like to a rally otherwise I top up with enough to last me a week and a day. The day is for if I do any extra travel
