Not really my cup of tea (I like my FJ seat as it is), but there's been a bit of time spent preparing this machine   :unknown:  He's been trying to sell it since June though

If for some reason the link doesn't work for non-NZ folk let me know and I'll put up the pictures in the post.

To me that is just another sad attempt at a custom using the FJ.  The frame for me just does not work when naked, and that was the reason i changed my FJ into an XJR.
No wonder he's been trying to sell it since June.  I like the part of his description that says,  "great looking bike" or whatever he said.
One man's meat etc...   Nah, shite.

Marsh White

Ha Ha!  He just masked off the lights and went to town on it with a can of gloss black spray paint!  All of the zip ties and wires are painted - no need to worry about overspray - because the WHOLE thing is overspray!  Lame way to do it IMHO...

First foot clutch and hand shift FJ I have ever seen though......

I noticed that the choke is still stock lol.  I wonder how it passed the WOF (Warrant of Fitness certification we need to have done here every 6 months) as I can't see a speedometer?   :dash2:

Wow thats incredibly UGLY ! i feel sorry for the poor guy who obviously has put in some effort on a paint job and mounting the headlight and a piece of alloy for a seat only to end up with somthing this ugly and uncomfortable to ride out of what was a near perfectly designed bike that yamaha spent serious time and effort not tomention money to develope. Dont get me wrong ive seen some nice Streetfighter bikes built from FJ 1200s, some i would like to replicate maybe if i had another spare bike without fairings. But this bike im afraid is the worst example ive seen to date! Maybe its cheap and worth it for parts? i have attached some that i think were nicely done!

every 6 months, thats harsh , must have been a lot of dodgy vehicles to warrant that amount of checking, , love the red fighter and that black fj will look unreal when finished, i would be happy with either  (popcorn) :hang1:

Have to agree, the FJ frames don't look that great exposed to the world, especially all BLACK.
