Just placed the order yesterday for my new Triple adjustable 8987 Penske, Woo Hoo! From all reports this will be a major transformation in the scoot. New front springs and steering head bearings are going in at the same time. I know Arnie, one change at a time. They has a duplicate order on the 8987 and wanted to get it out of inventory so Dan hooked me up. Sock was ordered as well. Everything should be here next week.

I think you've got me a bit wrong.  Yes, I have advised 1 change at a time, mostly so you know what each one does.  Also so, if it doesn't work like you expect, you know which change to undo.
These changes you're making are all pretty well known and have been done by so many here that there is quite a lot of collective experience to help if it were necessary.
These changes of yours would be easy to separate, at least to front and rear end of the bike if you chose to.
HOWEVER - Its your bike.  You're a big boy.  Do as you choose.  I won't lose any sleep either way :-)

Cheers,
Arnie

BTW  Congratulations.  You're gonna love the new suspension (at both ends)

I hope you're planning on straight-rate springs ...

With everything back in place and a quick ride on the freeway all seems in order. Heading out early tomorrow morning to give the Northshore Rd around Lake Mead tomorrow and feel the fruits of the upgrades.
