Randy,
Many thanks for the update. My orders to you ( seems like once a month or so) get here so fast, I can't believe you aren't in the same state I am in. Your business, and help with questions that come up has been invaluable to me.
I hope things resolve in a positive way, in the near future. I have a winter project coming up, I'll order the parts on Monday that I was going to order, well, in the winter. Trying to help, I honestly think you are the best at what you do.

Be well, my friend.

Randy & Robert,

I would second the experience & positive thoughts as noted above!

With the hand healing well & an okay from the doctor, rebuilding of the FJ has commenced following its' encounter with Bambi.

I would like to thank those members who have helped with parts and leads to parts.

IN ADDITION a special thanks to RPM for the help & advice and ease of ordering the miscellaneous parts & pieces and prompt delivery.  Simply the best.

The last parts of the FJ puzzle are the fairing & front fender - while there have been several leads, the fairings looked in poor condition.  There is a parts FJ located in the mid-west and we are working on shipping at a reasonable rate.  Needing a business address & loading dock Randy quickly offered having it shipped to RPM's palatial location for delivery, making it possible to pursue the purchase.

It gets no better than this...

Mike

A quick update. This past weekend and the race track, Robert got his middle finger on his left hand between two hard spots while working on the car. It severed the finger between the knuckle and the fingernail.

Unfortunately, the finger including the bone was severed and/or broken. They reattached at the hospital and the orthopedic doctor was complementary of the reattachment.

This means Robert is at home because as well all know, the fingers contain the most nerve endings in the human body. So, he is staying home for now doing everything the ortho said to do to help promote the fingertip to reattach.

So for the timing being, I will be going to the shop after work to pack orders. But shipping will be delayed a day or two compared to the standard operating procedure for RPM.

I am sorry for the delay that might occur, but sometimes life throws us curve balls.

Since no one is there answer the phones, email is the best way to communicate.

OUCH!

Hope it heals well and quickly.  It's going to hurt like an SOB until it does   :bad:

Hope that finger heals up OK. Until then I know it's going to hurt.

So sorry to hear Robert suffered a bad finger injury.
I have been unfortunate to have done the same in the past. You become a believer in pain meds the following day (Torture). This is one of those times you wish you could turn the hands of time back.
Get healed up and I will have a motor ready for you to rebuild.

What's wrong with ya, ya got nine others.
Better put some ice on just in case.
In all seriousness though, I know how much a nip like that hurts, and mine was nowhere near so deep.
In future be careful where you stick your fingers as the actress said to the bishop.
life without a bike is just life

I know how that feels. Crushed my left index finger about 17yrs ago.  Split it open like a peeled banana to expose the fingertip bone.  20 stitches and a few months later it was usable again.  Still looks gnarly.

Do the physio as prescribed.  Before you know it you'll be back in business in no time.  I still have some numbness in the tip, but it doesn't really affect anything.

Good luck.  :good2:

Take care Robert don't rush back to work and Randy don't overdo it. Everything can't be an emergency

Hope everyone is doing well and had a great Thanksgiving here in the US and some enjoyable weather/riding in other parts of the world.

My finger is healing up better than the doctors expected and we should be back to full force shortly.

That being said, we are excited to offer up a new but old item that has been requested from us time and time again. We also have a pretty cool looking new pod filter option. Again, same great quality part just a new look.

First up is the Fork Protector & Seal Kit this new wiper can also be selected when doing a complete fork rebuild, found here RPM/FJ 41mm Fork Rebuild Kit

Here is the new filter with a snazzy new logo RPM Dual Pod Foam Air Filter W/Logo

The same ol' original with no logo is still available as well. RPM Dual Pod Foam Air Filter

Sorry for small photo on the fork seal kit link. I am trying to get it fixed.

An added note on the fork protector dust seals. They DO WORK with the RPM fork brace.
