Hi guys.  Lost my trip meter reset knob on my last road trip.  I was still able to reset it by pushing on the shaft, although it was more difficult. Last week ,when i fueled up, I reset the trip meter as i always do.  Now the the odometer and trip meter don't work.  The speedo is still working.

Any suggestions before I rip it apart?

Thanks
Derek

Check to see if the shaft has returned to its normal "out" state.  You may have hooked it on the inside of the cover lens.  You may also have only pushed it down partway and its hung without fully returning.

If any of above works for you, put some kind of knob on that shaft and then some waterproofing device.

Dont most shafts have the knob at the end?

NEVERMIND.  NOT GOING THERE.

Not all of them. I've long suspected that they started endorsing circumcision for non-Jews to lessen the frequency of head injuries caused by one's hand slipping off during spirited masturbation.

Checked my shaft..... seems to be working fine. :yahoo:  Odometer still not working tho. Looks like I'll be taking the instrument panel apart again.
Thanks.
