The biggest craze here in the Midwest, USA is "Bike Nite".   Mostly V-Twins (noticed I didn't say H D) showed up.  No sports.  It wasn't because they didn't want them, just that no one showed up.  I took my trike, sorry.  June we are taking everything else, almost?

The idea is that if there is an event close to you, whether it is a promo for a food establishment or a charity event do it.  You will be surprized how many friends you will make.

Here in Minneapolis, there is an old-school pizza place right in the middle of the city called Dulono's Pizza. The first Thursday of every month (during the warmer months - long winters here) they host an event called "First Thusday" where motorcycles come from everywhere to hang out, chat, and network. Traditionally, this event was somewhat limited to American made 88 c.i. V-Twins, but in the last 10 years or so, it has really opened up to everybody. Again, it wasn't that everybody wasn't invited; they just were reluctant to show up.

It's pretty cool to see. Dulono's is located on a VERY busy urban street; a main thoroughfare parting the whole of South Minneapolis. What you see here is two bocks of parked bikes of all types. Old-skool leather wearing HD riders with ZZ Top beards, Guys like us, kids on their rocket bikes; a little bit of everything. Everybody gets along at this event - no fighting. Nobody perpetuates the argument of HD versus everything else, pretty cool. It does go on into the night, and it can get pretty loud, but what would you expect when that many people converge on one spot?

If you guys ever see Minneapolis, this would be an event to check out.
