tail section

Can anyone tell me if the tail section from the later models will fit my 84? The later 2 handed grips for the passenger look allot more comfortable than hoop that's on the earlier models.

No, the sub frame is different. because the handles bolt in a different position.

For the side grips the 86/87 subframe would be a bolt on. the tail light and side panels are the same as the 1100, The side grips and tail and all the small part will have to come off a 86 or later 1200.

.... when I. changed the tail section of mine I just used the later model tail section just bolts on , and welded 2 nuts o- for the grab bars to bolt onto
