FJR in FJ paint scheme

I dropped into my local Yamaha dealer - I haven't been there for years. They have a new FJR1300 in the same paint scheme as my '92 FJ. Is it only the UK that gets this? I can't see it on other national Yamaha websites. Looks good but still leaves me cold - too big and too expensive here.

Hmmm, have to check it out... those colors never made it to the US on the FJ.

That paint scheme was available in Aus on the FJ, but we only have the grey and black FJRs as far as i can tell.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.

Believe I've seen silver blue black and burgundy here.  all solids.

I think the 93 scheme looks good on it though, and a tip of the hat to it's gramps.. :hi:

According to website it's silver only in 2011 for US.

mz_rider

The FJR does look better in multi colours because it breaks up the shape of what is a pretty huge bike. The colours are not the same as my '93. The FJR is silver whereas the FJ is "wet pale brown" which is silver with a touch of ...eh ...mink?

Oh, I DO like the looks of that!
Make mine blue and white with a pink stripe and I'll be all over that! LOL.

Seriously, an FJR is at the top of my list for an additional bike, someday!

I did notice they didn't put the manly pink stripe on this paint job.
I think It would look better in they 86 R/W paint scheme, maybe the 84 scheme like said earlier

I like the mult-colours --- now we have to convince Yamaha 2 thinks -- make it Red and White -- and see it here in the US

Anybody know anything about the new FJR1400s coming? From their internet images they are also multi coloured but only said to come next year

The bike pictured has the same paint scheme as my 88 FJ.

Like it a lot.  Would like to see how the '87 scheme would look. One advantage to the cobalt blue '06 FJR color, it doesn't stand out as much to the LEOs.
