Sprocket math

P/O replaced the stock 42 tooth rear sprocket with a 41T, drive sprocket is still 17T.
I can never remember, will this combination make the bike slower off the line but faster at top end or is it the other way around?

I don't think you will notice much of a slow down taking off.
