Fuel line fix

As I have been getting the bike, FJ1100 1985, ready for the road, I have discovered that when I replaced the origonal fuel line, I made it too long, then, when putting the tank back on to run the bike it would be fuel starved because I pinched the fuel line.  This was frustrating!  After reducing the length, fuel starvation was no longer an issue, but getting the tank high enough to fit my hand under there to detach or attach the fuel line was getting too tight and bordering on ridiculous!  And yes, I did follow the correct routing diagrams.

By using a brass "T" pipe, instead of the stock "Y" pipe, and repositioning the three way fuel line connection, I have made it much easier to re-connect and dis-connect the fuel tank without getting very angry.

Before running the bike I will be adding hose clamps to all connections, to be sure.

cheers, Gareth

I was able to install a SS quick disconnect in that straight run in your line to the petcock.  Makes getting the tank off MUCH easier.

I've got all those fittings to make the same routing, but so far haven't needed them yet.  I'm also running a set of pump carbs on gravity feed with no fuel flow problem so far.  I did have to "burb' out an initial bubble in the line, but after that, smooth sailing.

Good job and thanks for the pictures.  I'll try to take some on my disconnect when I have the tank off this weekend.
