Bought a '92 FJ1200 from a guy in Salt Lake City ~ 5 years ago....three days later, I wrecked it (don't really wanna go into much detail)
Anyrate, the guy I bought it from BABIED that bike and I felt really crappy for wrecking his former pet.

5 years later, having made some physical (and psychological) repairs, I feel  i'm ready to ride again.

Any FJ owners in or around Galveston, TX?

The FJ is really good therapy, either upgrading it or hitting the Kookalooo zone.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
