I fucking love my bike.

I've introduced myself in the introduction forum,  and now I gladly feel like providing a follow up on my experiences with the machine.  I feel like sharing and everybody on Facebook can't give more of shit why I'm so excited over a 27 year old bike...

Truth is, I haven't ridden on that many bikes,  but my FJ,  man,  I love it.  If you've counted down correctly you'll come to the conclusion that I own a 1984 FJ (1100).   I never quite understood why people would argue over which year FJ looks best.  Before I owned the 1984,  I was so convinced that the 1984 FJ was not the nicest... but damn,  she grew into me.  I ran into a late 90's FJ earlier today (Blue-silver) and man,  with all respect to the people that own later model FJ's, I think the '84 has got to be the best looking.   Now,  I'm not looking to start the debate all over again,  I've read it all, but man,  the 1984 looks awesome.

I'm just enjoying this old bike so much that I'm wondering if I am crazy stupid or not.  I promise yall I'll get some more pictures posted soon enough.  Meanwhile,  if you want to see her and details, here she is:

Enjoy the Kook ladies and gentlemen.

sounds like you need to ride it to a rally, so it can hang out with other FJ's.  :good:

Dude, you've got the "bug" bad, it's ALL good.  I used to own an '84 (Canadian model) serial # 000136; great bike but I do like my '92 better, each for his own.  Regardless of what year you own, the FJ is a heart breaker for sure; I fucking love mine too!  :good:

We have added more 86/87 bikes since this poll, we need a recount!!!
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

Just because someone owns an 86 doesn't mean they think it is the most beautiful FJ.
and they can still cast a vote

Gen 1 is in 3rd place.
You sound a little bitter that you didn't buy one of the originals, it's not too late.

Coming from one that has zero states on his ride map and a fear of a recount from new 86/87 owners I think we have a challenge.....

I'm quite happy that I didn't buy one of the prototype models... by '89, they finally had it right.

Well, there you go.
