Hey guys, back online. I'm still in Loomis at my son's house resting my broken bones. Having your 3 year old grand daughter bring you pain meds and protien shakes is waaay too precious to pass up.
Many thanks for the well wishes and offers of assistence. It means a lot.
A special thank you to Gary Mastro who helped me beyond measure.

Kinda feel sorry for Randy. After working on my bike for all that time and me getting only 20 hours of run time before the accident.

Alas, My bones will heal and the bike will be back, better than ever.

Oh yea, wannna hear something real strange? Like clapping in the ER? Want to see smiles on the faces of people looking down on you?  Wear your gear.

Priceless!!! Great to hear from you Pat, nothing like family (from any generation) pitching in to help. Very happy that your gear took the crap and you will be back to polishing as quick as possible...Keep the updates coming....

Thanks to the (figurative, substitute almighty for less blaspheme) milk jug Pat... it is good to have you with us.  Glad you're a half full kind of guy.  I look forward to the next ride my friend.  And I have gotten even more gear prepping for the inevitable.

BTW - I do think you should scrap the bike and sell me the motor, but that's just me.   (popcorn)

Heal well and if there is some way I can be helpful, please let me know.  We're neighbors... for a few days anyhow  :good2:

Hey Frank, irishluck could probably give some pointers on that early-to-late model engine swap...

Haven't met you Pat but glad you are healing, hope to make the WCR next year

Learning from the experiences of others is THE most valuable asset this forum provides. Pat, just 'cuz of you I stopped on a decreasing radius blind corner this morning and cleaned all the gravel /sand offa it. Got a few looks from the passing cars as I kicked stones off the road wearing all my gear, but maybe they'll ponder on it some! Heal well and quickly,
Doug

Pat, Dude, seriously.
This crashing business, its not for the likes of us, lets stop it immediately.

Damn, Pat.  Why'd ya have to go and mess up a beautiful machine by sliding on some sand?   :ireful:

Seriously, heal fast and heal well.  Then after the bike is all fixed up, take care of yourself, too.

Hope you got a good sponge bath in the hospital.  Hopefully, your nurse's name wasn't "Vinny".

Sorry to hear about the slide Pat -- I am glad you are doing well and hope for a speedy recovery.  June has been busy - a week after the rally myself and a few buds went on our annual Boys Trip to the Hoover from Cottonwood Cove.... on my other Yamaha 1100.

Good trip as well -- only difference is Wet roads were a must.

I have posted some pics on the West Coast Rally photo link as well as more can be found via this link as well
