Just talked to Randy.  He's got a cabin reserved.  Says we can split it with him if he comes or just take it over if he doesn't.

I didn't know you had a drz-sm.  cool I'll be on the DR, we'll have to hunt up some dirt roads.

"Yeah, mom, he's taking me on a romantic trip to the mountains. We'll be staying in a nice cabin in the woods (Troy has also conveniently forgotten to tell her that the cabin has NO "facilities"). 

"He said "a few" of his friends may be in the area.  We'll probably have dinner with them one night.  He also mentioned something about a cozy campfire.  He also said they have 2-room cabins, so we'll be staying in separate rooms, of course."

Sounds like the perfect chic weekend :-)

do you sharpen carbon steel knives?  i purchased a very nice japanese carbon steel chef's knife.  God i love this thing.  it's still sharp, but could use a sharpening, i suspect, but i'm afraid to take it to the knife shop for fear they'll butcher it...
