Where did you find them?

Did it hurt when you had them removed?  :shok:

Typically they are found in moist areas, around dying or dead Elm trees, Sycamore and Ash trees, old apple orchards and maybe even in your own back yard. Ground cover varies and it is very likely that each patch of mushrooms you come across may be growing in totally different conditions. (copied from the "Great Morel Home Page")

Randy, a couple of Q's:
1) How do you cook 'em?
2) Do you hallucinate? If not, what's the fuckin point?

Yummy. I found some one time when I was out mountain biking. Taste like a fine steak.

Live hardy, or go home.

Slice and salt water soak for a while to get rid of any dirt or insects, then drain & pat dry.

Egg wash, flour and pan fry...

Definitely a delicacy, no hallucinations necessary... they are that good!         :good2:

They are selling for $50/lb this season.

Found a few today in the rain, but found more ticks than morels.                  :dash2:

I had no clue what they where.  Showed my wife and she started to salivate.  And then she wanted to know to find them and told me to start search the backyard.
