anyone know how to remove an airbox from a 87 fj1200?

i just got thisa 2 days ago, so im new to this.

trying to rebuild carbs, have manual, it says to take all the bolts out and the unclamp the hoses and just lift out? but its not moving, the 2 air vents on the sides are blocking it from coming out, one of them unscrews but the 2nd one dont and i cant remove.

ANyone know how to do this?

remove the upper subframe bolts  (loosen the lower bolts) and rotate the subframe down. it will give you the extra clearance necessary to get the air box out..
