Anyone have the stock heat shields for an 86. I applied for my collector plate and they denied me because the shield has a bit of a wrinkle in it. The ones for the exhaust on the right side:dash2: :dash1:

Hey, gentlemen! I just had the stainless shield of my muffler and it rotten underneath. Doe's anyone have a stock set of cans that they don't want and if so how much. The only reason that I want stock is so I can get my collector plate{real cheap insurance}. Any help appreciated Thanks big_r.

I think you mean the chin fairing heat shields. Nobody would have these laying around, they would be glued to their chin fairing. Just buy new ones:

There is a stainless cover on the muffler.I had to take it off to try and hammer some wrinkles out of it and found that the muffler itself was rotten underneath. I was wondering if somebody had some stock mufflers kicking around that the did not want? :hi:  Let me know if you do and how much for them.

Ahha.....You have aftermarket wraps on the stock mufflers......quite common here in Aus on domestic Japanese "grey" imports. Sorry, can't help you with replacements.
Keep an eye on eBay. FJ1200 exhausts/mufflers do turn up from time to time.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.

Thanks Harvy, I have been racking my brain trying to think what heat shield is near the exhaust.

The only thing I could think of (like Pat) was the chin fairing.

I guess I have never seen this heat shield.
