Today was an eventful day (sad), we attended our grandmothers funeral this morning, the weather was partly cloudy and 48*, and in light of my going in tommorrow at 8AM for hernia surgery, I took the FJ out for a spin.
The weather is calling for snow showers later in the week, so with not being able to ride for a while, I tried to enjoy the rest of my day the best way I know how.
You can see and hear what my bike current looks and sounds like with the XJR Delkevic pipes.
See you guys on the other side!!

Hmm. Dibs on the seat if you don't pull through. Just put a post-it on there with my name in case of complications. Good luck, you'll be fine and the pipes sound righteous!

Well now we know how you got the hernia, holding on for dear life. You were toying with that yellow line just to get me worked up, I know it. Great vid! I should post a reply vid, but it's snowing here, so not so much. Good wishes for a speedy recovery! :good2:

Just watched the video and was surprized to see turns on a road in Iowa! I thought they all just went N-S, or W-E. Ha ha. I was hoping you wouldn't scrape the camera in the right turn!

Wish you the best in the surgery. You'll be fine. :good2:

I couldn't stop watching the change in direction/frequency of the wheel spokes, rotor carrier and rotor holes.  Neat when the center holes were moving in the opposite direction as the outer and inner row of holes.

Seems like I should be able to calculate the tire rotational speed from that video.

Wow!!! I hope all of your roads are not as flat as that. Living in the hills and riding in the hills has spoiled me...Heal fast and Kookaloo for your pipes, I need to add that to my MOD list......Thanks for the vid.

Thanks for all your well wishes guys, it means a lot.
Surgery went well, came home same day, recovery is going good, just slight soreness in the incision area.
Taking my meds, drinking plenty of fluids and walking every hour is the extent of my activities at this point.
Can't drive or operate machinery for the next two weeks until I have my follow up with the surgeon.
Damn glad I took the bike out for that ride on Monday, as the weather has turned cold with the snow flurries and flooding going on and the temps dipping back down in the lower 30s, I really am not missing out on any good riding weather.

I'm so grateful that I have this site and you guys to talk with to spend my time with while waiting things out. I really look forward to meeting you great guys at a rally of two this summer!

I'm pleased you liked the video, I know it's not much to look at and the roads are terrible flat here, but that's what is driving me to go to a rally and enjoy some great roads.
But I try to make the best out of what I have availible to me.

Thanks again guys!

Congrats on things going well :)

When you recover a bit, I highly suggest running up the big river to your east, along WI-35, if you haven't already done it.  A third of it is boring, a third of it is senic, and a third of it will make you think it should be a racetrack.  :)

Good to hear the surgury went well Leon,

I hope you have a speedy and uneventful recovery so you can get back to the Kookaloo again real soon.
