Gentlemen,   Looking for thoughts/opinions regarding a possible issue with the Hagon shock on my 89. It's very close, at the bottom, to the swingarm...so close that they meet after about 3" of downward travel from the swingarm. When the arm moves upward, in a normal compression situation ,it clears .Not sure what to make of this. It has a 1200 Lb.spring and bought direct from Hagon.   If i go up and over a rise or hill, it may limit the swingarm travel...and might this be a dangerous?   I should mention that i do have 1.5cm shorter dogbones which does ,of course, move the arm downward some as well. TIA
89 FJ1200 saphire.blu owned 8-9 years.  By far the most satisfying of them all. Constant tinkering got me the best bike you could ever want.

I have a 89 and also had a Hagon shock before giving to my brother and switching to A Wilbers. I also shorten my dog-bones and when I did it was 1-2mm away from the swingarm. I solved it by removing material from the arm like Rittner did in his write-up:

15mm shorter sounds like an awful lot. this may be the source of the clearance issues.
