I have been member here for a while and have enjoyed the group.  I have gotten some good deals and a lot of great information.
I have been riding for over 40 years and have had all kinds and sizes of motorcycles.  I have always liked the looks of the FJ.  I came across this 1992 a few months ago and it looked like it needed rescued kind of like a lost puppy.  So $800.00 dollars later it followed me home.
It has 32000 miles and was in good mechanical condition.  Its major problem was the Krylon textured paint job.  Really bad! So I have been putting together a new set of plastic and it is very close to completion.  I have a couple parts that I will need to paint the right color but I am almost there.

When I complete the bike I will post the pics. here someplace.

Thanks everyone for the great forum

Looks good, very happy for you. Looking forward to the pics.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Wow!  That's a hell of a deal.  Looks like the plastic is all whole, just dumb paint.
And, hardly broken in.  Congratulations.

Cheers,
Arnie

Despite the paint job it looks to be in good shape, and at a great price.
Enjoy the ride  :drinks:

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

I'll say it:

That looks cool!  Maybe add some tasteful decals to make it appear a little more oem, and run with it.

The FJ will be a bone stock 92 when it is completed.

Color Rite has both of the stock colors listed so I will make an order then paint the three parts that are primer now.  Front fender, left side front air scoop and the chin fairing.

The new windshield should be here this week.

I am machining adapters for the CBR mirrors. I did a trial fit this morning they will work.   All I have to do is powder coat and they are done.
