Great article...thanks Marsh for posting that. Interestingly I buy a lot of my FJ parts from the same Yamaha dealer, Parkway Yamaha in Collingwood were Jon purchased his in 94. Great guys to deal with, and they know FJ's pretty well.

I remember this bike very well. Belonged to Jon Jarosz I think. I contacted him with a view to buying it when he had it for sale, but some unexpected domestic expenses (less said the better) put pay to the idea.

In some ways it was just as well, as I seem to remember he built the engine without other modification, including retaining the OEM compression ratio, which I believe led to it letting go in a big way later on. I don't know if Jon got around to rebuilding her, anyone know ?

Nope. Different bikes with Different part #'s. Can it be made to fit? Dunno.
What we do when questions like this come up, is that we go here and look up the Yamaha part #. If they match you got a winner.
