so here I am, bored snowed in, looking around on Craigslist for FJ's. as if I need to buy another one.

I google FJ's Craigslist and a few come up.

so I go to the add read it, the guy is selling 2 FJ's Cool.

I scroll down and see my bike in the picture. In front of my garage. with my tank bag. I just took that pic
last summer.

so who's trying to sell my bike? Do I have to walk through 2 feet of snow to the garage and make sure I still have it?

I don't know who you are but sell someone else's bike.

Mines not for sale.

Did you flag the Ad to craigslist?  That is an old trick: using people's real pics to sell items at what seem like cheap prices to get money out of them.  Post the link if it is still LIVE.

ddlewis

so what happens to the guy when you flag it via craigslist?  I suspect not much.  This dude needs to be screwed with if nothing else.

The Bishop of Brisbane and the Archdeacon of Cincinnati will purchase this bike to use as a Motorcycle Ambulance in Africa.
Funds have been donated by the parishioners for this very purpose.

And yea I actually get paid for it. about 150 and hour.

I agree screwing with the guy sounds like the best, and most fun, thing to do.

my thoughts are if he has 2 FJs he has to be a member of this site, right? I am not mad I find it a little funny and maybe even flattering.

Especially since I double checked to see if my bike is still here. It is.

I was thinking of emailing and asking about it but my screen name and email are the same, making it easy for him to know it is me.

I assume he didn't have a picture of his bike so he found one on the web (different site) and just used that, I would imagine he would tell someone that when they asked about the bike.

However, if his bike was close to the condition mine is in he would have a pic. or two.

here is the pic I have in the gallery, compare it to his pic.

I am curious what my bike is worth especially with that new $400 corbin seat

here is the add http://appleton.craigslist.org/mcy/2135971610.html

You can tell the image has been cropped so there is no sign of the FJOwners logo in lower right hand corner.

Image is a link directly to the CL ad.

The add still came up when I just tried it, I figured he caught wind of this thread  :rofl2:

apparently he is riding my bike back from California in May   :scratch_one-s_head:

the Picture I posted was from the gallery, so it does have the FJowners logo,

his add has a picture I posted on a different site, but I think you guys are right, he somehow removed the logo

or it is too small to see, here is the pic he used.

That's the best looking pic of that color scheme I have seen.

Maybe I will get one to ride while my ('89 with the so-called theft-deterrent paint scheme) is down next winter.

I think he lives over near you somewhere.

with any luck he will throw in my tank bag and GPS.

you see how much money he wants for that 86? the guy is crazy. I think everyone should send him an email

after 50 hits he will be thinking it is worth $5,000

Check your garage again because I think it is sold. The add has been deleted.
