Younger brother lives in the Brisbane suburbs, down from the Jindalee Bridge.  Water is at the bottom of his garden.  Fortunately his house is a bit higher than that.  Fingers crossed.

Bill........strange coincidence that....... I have an in-law over there in Mandurah who has a brother in Bne......they have evacuated already however.

Were you anywhere near the fire?

Brother was lucky - water got to his gates.  Houses just down the street were affected.  Some local streets nearby were flooded, some badly.

Fires over here, are about 100km from me.  Heartbreaking for those who lost property, especially as the fires were deliberately lit.

Anyway, watching all of this unfold in Queensland, I believe it is time to get rid of the red-headed publicity-seeking puppet, and put Anna Bligh up for Prime Minister..........

They are waiting on the high tide this afternoon (16.00 AEST).......may get worse b4 it gets better.
Hope they find the dick-head that lit those fires.........as Arnie suggested, they should tie him up in a fire hose and drag him behind a truck to the second closest police station!
