ok long winded. heard of the book and from the basic gist i get that one guy regularly serviced his enigine bicycle and another didnt. and the ensuing karmic influences came into play, or something like that. but what i would like to know is has anyone played that game? i had a gpz 9750r that i regularly serviced , tappets oil change every 4000 k's polished clean greased and new bearings, new filters all the time nothing short on it. ate the bottom end one day after about 2 years. later had a vt 500 e hoonda (DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!!) AND I NEVER SERVICED IT AT ALL. oil when it got low , petrol maybe some air in the tyres, carbs had holes in the diaphrams wouldnt pull any more than 110 km/h flat out straight thru pipes no baffles couldnt do a burn out on wet grass tho i did manage to jump it off a grass embankment. ( not planning a second attempt!!) and i couldnt kill it. same as my dt. it ate 3 sets of pistons and rings wouldnt pull in 6th gear at all and wouldnt get above 90 k an hour but it only stopped when i got bored and decided to do the bottom end for a change, pulled it to bits and moved state and lost parts then got a case of couldntbearsedness. any one had bikes that they wanted to kill and couldnt? longest service intervals? service or not to service?

I know this might not be what you are lookin for, but NOT a bike (I cared for them too much to treat them this way)
A car I owned for a few years back in the day, long ago in central NY.
1978 AMC Concord, 2-door, 258ci straight-6.
It started out as a winter car, but ended up my daily driver for a few years.
I NEVER changed the oil. would only add when low, as well as a multitude of various oil-additives to try to keep the lifters from making too much racket...I never changed, or had to add any tranny fluid(it had one of those Chrysler, baby-904 transmissions)
I never even checked to see if it had any rear diff fluid in it. I didn't care.......it went just fine.
Never pulled a rear wheel off it.
The only time I pulled a front wheel off it was when I replaced an upper ball joint(wore until it broke through)
You couldn't fill it more than half full of gas, or you'd end up with a puddle............
But I drove the snot out of it for approx 35,000 miles!
I went mud-boggin with it, snowbank-plowing. Routinely jumped railroad crossings with it.....Drove down dirt roads like I was Bo Duke!......Used to drive it out on Oneida lake when it would freeze over......Tested out it's top speed on a few occasions (I'm guessing somewhere around 110-115mph, speedo only went to 85 though)......scared the crap out of a couple kids in a 89-90ish Ford thunderbird, when a buddy and I chased them down after they threw stuff at us.....
The car just ran, and ran, and ran.....It would go anywhere, anytime. I'm sure I revved it way past it's design limits on many occasions, but it always started....even when it was 20-below zero in the middle of winter.........
It's time with me ended rather unceremoniously though, I hate to say.
When I had no more use for it(I moved on to a 1969 Plymouth Sport Fury,2-door, 383 Factory floor shifter)
My younger Brother , and I drove it to a busy mall parking lot. Cleaned all my belongings out of the glovebox, and trunk.
Took the license plates off, and just left it sitting there. :drinks:

Well about 20 years ago I had a 75 honda cb550 that I bought for 250 bucks for cheap transpo while I was in school in phoenix az.
I never changed the oil , air filter , plugs , tires, chain , etc.
rode the shit out of it and even jumped it and did a little motocross stuff in the dirt and sand with it.
never washed it and generally neglected any maintenance due.
rode it rain or shine and it never let me down.
it had 38k on it when it got it and 49k when I sold it for 400 bucks as I was leaving Az.
