Never owned a bike before that brings as many compliments & thumbs-up almost anywhere I go as the FJ does.  I and I have only owned it for for a year now, I don't miss my Honda V45 Sabre at all (though it had a following too).

i got 2 comments. " nice bike" and the other i got when i went to meet springy. old fella ( not springy) walked up... looked at me.... looked at the bike....back to me... " good honest reliable motorcycle that..." and walked away. :scratch_one-s_head: but the general population that i have spoken to has nought but praise for said enginebike and the amount of people that " used to have one"   "been on one" ... "drag raced one" or just  know them is quite destounding (popcorn)

Great stories... I also have a V65 and it's a pretty close group as well.  The FJ comes up in conversation here and there with great respect.  Funny enough I'm currently selling my V65 to get another FJ, something newer like an '89 or so just to add to my madness...  :good:

Funny, I ran across this the other day on my never ending search to end the vibration: http://www.motorcyclekb.com/Uwe/Forum.aspx/tech/1216/vibration-fj1200
The guy hates FJ's, but he doesn't offer any reason why. Just doesn't like them I guess. I have the same experience though, everywhere I go people ask me about the bike. They reminisce about reading about it in magazines when it just came out, and no one believes it was made before the year 2000.

that guy has issues. im sure he whinged about being breast fed. i know i carry on like a nobjockey at times but geez i dislike those people that say " ive ridden lots of bikes so..." and the ol classic of " you have your opinion" which basically means im gunna try to ram MY opinion at you and not listen to yours. what a jackka (popcorn)........ and im still trying to work out the.....   "I guess others enjoy a motorcycle that can't track a straight line down the
road without acting like following a semi at 80 mph?" what the feck?

Kopfjaeger

Oh there out there.
I don't think I'd like my FJ as much if I had left it 100% stock. Thank god for mods!

"guess others enjoy a motorcycle that can't track a straight line down the

f.cking DAMN sh.t SEAT. Yes I'll say it again f.cking sh.t seat, that grinds
you to dogshit in 20 miles, stuck in that v-sh.t. Yes i'm pissed. I'm damn
pissed. Think what you want. I've been over the road. Yes, other motorcycycles
have not been on my favorite side. Yes I complain. Yes I complain about the
FJ1200, Yes I do!!!
Yes I do. If it saves one person from the agony of ever owning one, it's all
worth it, if not I don't particularly care, and I damn don't care your opinion.
You never owned one? if you did you would f.cking not voice a positive opinion
about this motorcycle. (if it could be called that)."

This guy is a tool.  Can't track straight??!!  Painful seat??  Sounds like he owned a horribly bad example or another bike altogether...

This should take care of that, then... sit down first (and perhaps wait until you have an empty stomach).
