Lower frame rails.....

I know some of you guys are gonna think I'm weird, but.... I wanted to know if the lower frame rails from an 84-85 1100 will bolt into an 89 1200. The reasons I want to know are:(1) Original lower fairing is only in about 60-70% condition and know one seems to make a replacement.(2) I bought and installed a set of NOS GSM "case saver" engine guards for an 1100 that required removal of the lower fairing anyway(I would rather remove a 60-70% part from a bike instead of it detracting from the overall appearance).(3) I dig the way the 1100 has a minimalist look showing off more of the motor.(4) Air-tech sells a replacement 84-85 lower fairing.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Jeff.
