Dropped the bike at a standstill and the two hard rubber "bumpers" on the fairing just mushed up and are destroyed. This is for the right side of a 1992 FJ1200.

The photo is left side. I need the ride side (rubbers are marked 'R' on the back)

I am very new to FJ's so I don't have sources at my fingertips. Any direction is appreciated.

Current Model: 1990 FJ1200 3CV since 2020

The late model FJ's 91-93 have a long single bumper on each air scoop. like this,

I think the ones pictured are from a 86-87 model..

Okay. Live and Learn. Any idea who carries that kind of thing? I know for my XS750 that rubber bits can be the hardest to find after decades.

if you check the vendors section we have listing for several suppliers who can get us good deals on OEM parts.

then go to yamaha's website and use the online parts fiche to find the part numbers you need .

i'll even give you a boost to get there....

86/87 take the same bumpers

call or email vendor and order the parts   Zanotti's has online ordering but they will kill you on shipping just those two little pieces.

Right hand side is p/n 1TX-2832N-00-00 and the left is p/n 1TX-2832M-00-00.

If you can not find anyone to sell them to you for well under $20.00 each (side), let me know and I'll get them for you.

Best idea, go support your local Yamaha dealer, order them from them, keep them honest, no more than $20.00, hopefully less.

Indeed, this is a 1987 bike. I don't know where I put the idea in my head it was a 92. The owner (best friend) is fine with the small amount of "dingage". In fact he has about 5 spares of those rubbers in a box we took down from the loft. For the record, the best online price I saw was from www.nwcp.com, $17.40 ( but I didn't go so far as to check availability).
All I have to do is get him a can of color match paint and we're even. That's why we're best friends :)

Er... Charlie?  Don't tell us that you're trading paint for rubbers with your friends...  :blum2:
