Hi I´m new at this forum and have already introduced me here. Last winter I bought a 1993 Yamaha FJ1200 ABS, USA model, with around 20.000 miles on the clock. See link http://s415.photobucket.com/albums/pp231/throsturv/Yamaha%20FJ1200/ for pics. Needless to say, I fell for it immediately!

There are only two issues that need attention on this bike at the moment.

First, is that in ,,normal" driving the clutch is fine, but when the bike is hot and I downshift and give the throttle a good twist it slips. The former owner took very good care of the bike, but just before I bought it, he changed the oil to Valvoline 10/40 half/synthetic Motorcycle Oil. I have my doubts about half/synthetic, even if it´s a dedicated Motorcycle Oil. What´s your opinion?

Second is that after a front tire change (which of course included removing the front wheel, caliper, sensor e.t.c)  the ABS light blinks slowly, but the ABS works. Does it need a reset, or could there be anything wrong?

Cheers
