86 vs 89 Main Fairing

well than someone downgraded the fairing also, cause the blinkers are shaped like the 86'. 
does anyone else have a pic of an 88 FJ?

okay maybe he mixed the date up cause it looks like this is an 87 FJ according to the person that listed the picture

There are 4 generations of FJ11/12..... generally, body parts are the same among each gen.   1stGen= 84-85  2nd Gen= 86-87  3rd Gen= 88-90 (88 was not imported to the US, too many prev. year bikes still in dealers)  and 4th Gen= 91-up....

Color schemes vary year to year, but the body parts will be the same among each generation.

Doesn't Lotsokids 88' FJ look more like an 86 than it does an 89?

If that is an 88 then someone downgraded it with AD forks. The side scoops look like an 86/87 as well. Some web sites post the wrong pics of different years like this one showing an 87 as an 88. http://motoprofi.com/motospecspictures/yamaha/fj_1200-1988.html.
